Meet Mapcon Mondays - Featuring Craig Hilleson
Welcome to another edition of Meet Mapcon Mondays, a monthly interview series starring one of Mapcon's illustrious employees. This time we're sitting down with Craig Hilleson to hear about his tenure here at Mapcon Technologies, Inc.
Q: Introduce yourself.
A: My name is Craig Hilleson. I’m a programmer for Mapcon. I do lot of development and customizations on the mobile app, custom programming for the desktop application, and product development.
Q: Without revealing a deep, dark secret (unless you want to), tell us something about yourself most people don't know.
A: Four years ago, my wife and I became guardians of a young man, a former student of my wife’s. This summer he is graduating from college with his AA degree and just started an internship with a large architectural firm.
Q: Tell us about your Mapcon experience.
A: I’ve been at Mapcon, off and on, for over 23 years. I started out doing support and programming on the old DOS versions of MAPCON and the really early versions of "Windows" MAPCON. Once in a while we still receive a phone call out of the blue from a "long lost" client who is still running one of those old versions.
Q: Outside of work, tell us what you enjoy.
A: I enjoy spending time with friends and family. In the summer I play in sand volleyball and co-ed kickball leagues.
Q: What is one aspect about Mapcon you would like customers and future customers to know?
A: MAPCON can be customized to work how you want it. We do small projects, such adding a field to a window, all the way to large interfaces. Sometimes even a small change can really improve how MAPCON works within your organization. If you’re interested in making some changes, give us a call, and we’ll see what we can do for you.
Craig is a valued member of the Mapcon team, and we can't wait to see what other innovations he'll forge in the future! Join us again next month to get to know another member of the Mapcon family.
