MAPCON's Advanced System Utilities is an optional module* that will allow Users of MAPCON Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to accomplish important utility tasks:
• 1. MS Excel Data Import – The Advanced Systems Utility module provides a simple, reliable and secure process allowing you to import existing data directly into MAPCON CMMS via your Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet. This feature saves significant time and expense for Users who wish to import current and historical data into MAPCON CMMS for use in real time.
• 2. Field Label Editor – MAPCON is delivered with default-generated 'field labels' that name certain fields such as "Cost Center" that some firms might prefer to view as a "Budget Center". Similarly, the default field name, "Equipment" might be better named "Assets" for other MAPCON Users. The Field Label Editor is a huge advantage to some organizations by allowing administrators to completely customize MAPCON field names with names more suited to their internal operations.
• 3. Quick Report Generator – The base MAPCON CMMS product comes packaged with over 200 standard reports! However, this feature of the Advanced System Utilities module puts real power into the hands of maintenance staff allowing them to create multiple, customized system reports by pulling and displaying specific information from the system that is most important to the User. Customized reports allow maintenance managers to drill down deep to immediately learn the current maintenance status on almost any equipment or work order within the MAPCON system.
• 4. Custom Menu Creation – The Advanced System Utilities module allows you to completely customize the MAPCON system menus for group profiles and even an individual's menu set. So, this utility is a real advantage for maintenance managers who wish, for instance, to eliminate features unimportant to certain Users while also providing individual staff members the ability to design menus that help speed their online work responsibilities. • Report Auditing - If you like Custom Report Generator, you may very likely want to use the Report Auditing feature in the Advanced Administration module! With Report Auditing, you simply 'right-click and 'save' incremental reports. With the Report Auditor you can save a series of reports for comparison over time. For example, if you use a report to check on your monthly 'value of inventory', why not save all your monthly reports and to see changes to inventory values on either an annual (either calendar or fiscal year) basis?
